According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) 2020–21 National Health Survey (NHS) self-reported data from the 2020–21 NHS, males aged 18 years and over who had ever served in the ADF had a higher prevalence of several long-term health conditions compared with those who had never served.

ACU sports and fitness program offers gym, clubs, and fitness classes. Many institutions offer sports and fitness programs. Joining a sports team, using the gym, or becoming part of a sports club can be a good way to stay active, whilst also socialising.
